Mr Marx Moabelo serves as the Chief Financial Officer for the City of Matlosana, where He oversees all financial operations, budget management, revenue collection, and expenditure control for the municipality.
With extensive expertise in public finance management and municipal accounting, Mr M Moabelo holds advanced qualifications in Financial Management and is a Chartered Accountant. His career spans more than 18 years in public sector finance, with a proven track record of implementing effective financial controls and promoting fiscal discipline across various government institutions.
The Finance Department is dedicated to ensuring sound financial management and sustainable fiscal practices for the City of Matlosana. We strive for excellence in financial reporting, transparency in budget processes, and efficiency in resource allocation. Our goal is to maintain the municipality's financial health while ensuring that public funds are utilized effectively to deliver quality services to our residents.
The Corporate Governance Department serves as the administrative backbone of the City of Matlosana Municipality. We are responsible for providing essential support functions that enable all other departments to operate efficiently and effectively. Our focus areas include human resources management, legal services, information technology, council support, and records management.
Our mission is to provide exceptional administrative and support services to both internal and external stakeholders, ensuring the municipality can deliver on its mandate to serve the people of Matlosana.
Our Human Resources Division is responsible for workforce planning, recruitment, employee relations, and skills development to ensure the municipality has capable and motivated staff.
The Legal Services Division provides legal advice and support to all municipal departments, ensuring compliance with legislation and protecting the municipality's interests.
Our IT Division manages the municipality's technology infrastructure, ensuring efficient service delivery through digital innovation and system support.
The Council Support Division provides administrative assistance to the Council and its committees, ensuring effective governance and decision-making processes.
Our Records Management Division ensures proper document management, preservation, and access, supporting transparency and efficient administration.
The Training & Development Division focuses on enhancing staff skills and capabilities through structured learning programs and career development initiatives.

Mr M Mokansi provides a proper legal service to Council and the Municipal Manager, as well as the Executive Mayor and her Members of Mayoral Committee and other structures of Council. The provision of proper, timeous and effective land administration service within the parameters of legality
