The City of the people on the move
It gives me an immense pleasure to report to our stakeholders and community of Matlosana at large about our Service Delivery Guide that explains the mandate and functions of each Directorate in a way that is clear and accessible to the majority of the Matlosana population. This booklet clearly illustrate to the public how each directorate contributes to the attainment of constitutional democracy in South Africa; and finally, to provide information on how the public can access Matlosana Municipality.
As we are guided by Municipal System Act and Municipal Financial Management Act certain basic principles when providing services: to mention but few is; Accessibility - All communities should have access to at least a minimum, Affordability - In order to enhance quality of life, municipalities should strive to make services as affordable as possible, Sustainability - The provision of services to local communities in a sustainable manner is also a constitutional imperative, Value for money - Municipal services should account for value for money. In this respect, value for money and affordability goes hand in hand. It provides information about our leaders, Member of Mayoral Committee, all directorates within council and emergency numbers when the municipality is closed.
Special thanks goes to all the officials of the City of Matlosana Local Municipality for their dedication, hard work and commitment, the councillors for their oversight, particularly the Executive Mayor, The Speaker of Council, the Single Whip of Council and the Chairperson of MPAC.
Our administration is committed to excellence in service delivery, good governance, and sustainable development. We strive to implement the council's vision with integrity, accountability, and a dedication to improving the lives of all residents in the City of Matlosana.
