  • Completed application form (available at our offices or downloadable from our website)
  • Proof of property ownership or occupancy
  • Copy of ID document

Once your application is processed, our technical team will assess the site and provide a quotation for the connection. Installation typically occurs within 7-14 working days after payment.

What causes water interruptions and how long do they usually last?

Water interruptions can be caused by:

  • Scheduled maintenance or repairs
  • Burst pipes or leaks
  • Power outages affecting pump stations
  • Infrastructure upgrades
  • Water shortages during drought periods

Scheduled interruptions are usually announced in advance and typically last 6-8 hours. Emergency repairs may take 4-24 hours depending on the severity of the problem. In all cases, we work to restore services as quickly as possible.

How do I report a pothole or road damage?

You can report potholes or road damage through several channels:

How is my electricity bill calculated?

Your electricity bill is calculated based on:

  • Actual electricity consumption (kWh) as recorded by your meter
  • Current tariff rates as approved by NERSA
  • Basic service charge (fixed monthly fee)
  • VAT at 15%

Different customers (residential, commercial, industrial) are charged according to different tariff structures. For prepaid users, the cost per unit may vary based on the amount purchased. Full tariff information is available on our website or at our customer service centers.

How do I apply for a solar installation connection to the grid?

To connect your solar installation to the municipal grid, follow these steps:

  • Submit an application form to the Electricity Department
  • Provide technical specifications of your system
  • Include certification from a registered electrical contractor
  • Pay the application fee
  • Schedule an inspection of your installation

Once approved, we will install a bi-directional meter (if required) and authorize the connection. Please note that all installations must comply with NRS 097-2-1 standards and local bylaws. The process typically takes 4-6 weeks from application to approval.
