The director aims to accelerate housing delivery through efcient and effective human settlement management and quality service delivery as well as through integrated and collective sustainable human settlements programmes. As well as to eradicate the remaining informal settlements and introduces a rental strategy as an alternative to address housing backlogs.

Our vision is to create well-planned, sustainable communities where every resident has access to adequate housing and quality living environments. Through strategic planning and innovative human settlement programs, we aim to build inclusive neighborhoods that promote social cohesion, economic opportunities, and environmental sustainability for current and future generations.

Planning & Human Settlement Department

The Planning and Human Settlement Department is responsible for managing urban development, housing delivery, and spatial planning to create sustainable, well-integrated communities throughout the City of Matlosana.

Our mission is to facilitate orderly development, provide adequate housing solutions, and ensure effective land use management that supports economic growth while preserving environmental integrity and promoting social equity.
