Dr B Roberts-Tebejane serves as the Director of Local Economic Development for the City of Matlosana, leading strategic initiatives to drive economic growth, create sustainable employment opportunities, and foster an environment conducive to business development and investment throughout the municipality.

The director is responsible for creating a prosperous city and developing economic strategies that will alleviate poverty and the related socio-economic impacts by stimulating economic growth and development. His responsibilities further includes the operation of the fresh produce market that is effective, efcient and economical and which satises consumer needs through effective distribution channels, facility provision and operational services.
